Valley Pre-School is hiring for multiple part-time positions ranging from 3-5 days per week as we expand our program. We are looking for both a lead and assistant teacher who will be responsible for running our second 3’s classroom, which is held on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:45-12. Positions may also include helping with administrative duties, participating in our Monday Enrichment Program, and working in our Lunch Bunch program.
The lead teacher will be responsible for curriculum development, communicating and collaborating with the lead teacher of the other class, incorporating appropriate goals for the age group, planning activities to meet these goals, and assisting in meeting all of the children’s developmental needs.
The Assistant Teacher will support the Lead Teacher in communicating the classroom philosophy and procedures to parents, will help set up the classroom and implement activities,will instruct and guide the parent-helpers, and will consult with the Lead Teacher regarding any classroom questions or concerns. The Assistant Teacher will help the Lead Teacher prepare for parent-teacher conferences, and will work with all of the board and membership coordinators to ensure the smooth running of the school. In the event that the Lead Teacher is absent, the Assistant Teacher would take over the role of leading the class.
Valley Pre-School was incorporated on January 9th, 1959. We are a certified Non-Profit Cooperative that offers pre-school programs for children three and four years old. Each class consists of a maximum of 16 students, with two teachers and one adult helper each day.
