Duties
- Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and curriculum goals
- Foster a warm, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and social skills among preschool children
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and emotional regulation
- Collaborate with families to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services
- Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress through observations, standardized testing, and documentation to inform instruction
- Manage classroom routines, transitions, and activities to ensure a safe, organized learning space
- Lead activities that support literacy education, math skills, physical education, and Montessori-inspired learning approaches
- Support children’s overall welfare by ensuring their safety, health, and well-being at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings; prior classroom management experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies
- Expertise in curriculum development across various domains such as literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning
- Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management techniques
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, staff, and community partners
- Ability to plan lessons effectively while adapting to individual student needs
- Knowledge of standardized testing methods relevant to early childhood assessment tools
- Experience with Montessori methods or other child-centered educational philosophies is a plus
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development in childhood education is encouraged
