Duties

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and lesson plans, including literacy, math, social skills, and sensory activities.
• Support children’s learning by engaging them in activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Help manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
• Provide individualized support to children with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities or autism, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations such as IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals.
• Use American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods to facilitate effective interaction with children who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop tailored lesson plans that meet each child's unique needs and developmental milestones.
• Support early childhood education practices aligned with Montessori or other specialized curricula for preschool and toddler care.
• Document observations of children’s progress and communicate effectively with parents and team members regarding developmental milestones or concerns.
