Preschool Music Teacher in Louisville, KY

Summary

Trinity Presbyterian Preschool is seeking a part time teacher to plan and implement a music and creative movement program for children ages 2 through 4.

Duties

• Plan and implement a developmental and age appropriate music/creative music program based on the Kentucky Early Childhood Standards
• Develop a weekly 30 minute music/creative movement lesson for each class
• Plan and implement musical programs for parent events throughout the year
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, parents and staff
• Assume responsibility for the arrangement, appearance and learning environment of the classroom
• Submit informational articles about the music program for the Trinity Times and Monthly Scoop newsletters when requested
• Assist with morning and afternoon carpool
• Report any unsafe conditions or equipment to the Director

Requirements

• Meet all requirements stipulated by the state for this position.
• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous experience in teaching or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to work with preschool children with varying skill levels
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills
