Summary
Assistant Teacher supports Lead teacher in Montessori preschool mixed-age classroom of children ages 2.5years-6years old. Priority given to candidates trained in, or familiar with, Montessori educational philosophy.
Position is fulltime 40h/wk, 7:45-3:45 or slight variations on that schedule as needed. Our program runs year-round, with a Fall semester, Spring semester, and Summer session. Position is hourly and offers medical, dental, and retirement.

Duties
Duties include cleaning, preparing, and closing the classroom, assisting the Lead Teacher, preparing lesson materials under Lead teacher direction, assisting children ages 2.5yo-6yo with individual work, at circle time, snacks or lunch (some food preparation required), outside or inside play, and transition times.
Assistant teachers are expected to help children manage behaviors and learning under the Montessori philosophy.

Some requirements must be completed prior to starting, but most can be completed within first 90d of hire.
