Our Conyers Campus is seeking an EXPERIENCED TEACHER for 3-year-old/4-year old classroom. The teacher reports directly to the Assistant Director & Director concerning all classroom, curriculum, or material matters.

The teacher will be working in a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom.

Duties

1. Be able to provide sound, caring and positive leadership for children.

2. Able to maintain a safe and fun environment for children

3. Provide, to everyone, extraordinary customer service to parent(s).

4. Be able to recognize and implement safety standards in all program activities.

5. Be able to participate effectively with other staff in implementing creative and fun activities for students.

6. Have a good understanding of the mission and values of the Center and be able to demonstrate and teach based on those values.

7. Pass a criminal background check.

8. Communicate positively with parents and staff as required.

9. Must have current CPR and First Aid certifications or achieve in first 90 days.

10. Must be at least 18 years of age.

11. Perform all physical aspects of the position, including frequently moving around, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.

12. Previous work experience or student teaching position in daycare or school is required.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate, listen and partner with others in a team environment.
• Must be able to develop positive relationships with children and their parents.
• Must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed.
• Will be responsible to implement age-appropriate activities based on children's interests and needs under the supervision of the management team.
• Will be responsible to observe and document children's behavior, interest and progress, and relay back to management
• Background check is required. Recent Background Checks should be readily portable in the Koala system.
• Excellent classroom leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Salary offered will be based on skills and experience, as well as the level of education/training, and recent employment verification
