Create a caring and safe environment for children. Communicate, listen and work well with others in a team environment. Understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. Assist the staff in implementing a quality educational program and in developing positive relationships with families.
Support the Director in daily operations ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
Lead and mentor a team of educators improving staff performance and classroom quality
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and health safety standards
Communicate with parents regarding enrollment, progress, and conerns
Support implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and classroom mangement strategies
Cleared background check in DCYF
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certificate
Health screening TB test
Washington food handlers certification
Proof of MMR vaccine
Bloodborne pathogens certificate
High school diploma or GED
Must be working towards Early Childhood Education Degree (scholarships available)
Must have 1 year experience in working in a childcare setting
Must be 21 year and willing to drive Elementary School transportation bus.
