Summary

Science Akadémeia is seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to guide and inspire children through an exciting, hands-on STEM learning environment. This is a permanent, year-round position, with the opportunity to begin immediately during our engaging 10-week Summer STEM Camp—where each week brings a new adventure in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Position Overview

The Lead Teacher will create a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning environment where children can explore, experiment, and grow. This role requires a strong love for children, empathy, creativity, and a spirit of adventure. The ideal candidate is an out-of-the-box thinker who loves learning new things and having fun while doing them. They thrive in a hands-on environment and are eager to lead meaningful STEM activities that spark curiosity and confidence.

Duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement engaging STEM activities, including themed summer camp experiences
  • Lead and supervise children in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
  • Foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking through hands-on learning
  • Build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
  • Adapt activities to meet the developmental needs and interests of all learners
  • Model kindness, patience, enthusiasm, and a love of learning
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure a cohesive and enriching program year-round
