Summary

We are seeking a dependable and nurturing Part-Time Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms serving children from infancy through Pre-K. This position requires a flexible, team-oriented individual who enjoys working with young children and can provide a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment during afternoon hours.

Duties

  • Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
  • Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
  • Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
  • Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
  • Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
  • Follow all center policies and state regulations.
  • Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.

Requirements


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience working with young children (infant–Pre-K) preferred
  • Ability to work in a variety of age groups as needed
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable and punctual, especially for afternoon shifts
  • Must be able to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, and move throughout the day
  • Comfortable working on the floor and actively engaging with children

Schedule Requirement

  • Must be available to work afternoon hours consistently
  • Required availability until 5:30 PM


Salary : $12 to $13/Hr
