Duties

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Contribute to Pedals’ service oriented, quality focused, problem solving, and fun store environment.  
• Be very familiar with shop standards and procedures for all repairs and maintenance common for cycling equipment.
• Create, edit, and complete computerized work orders while accurately detailing and charging for all inventory used and services performed.  
• Correctly install accessories on repairs or upgrades.
• Effectively and safely utilize tools associated with bike mechanics.  
• Complete only work authorized by a customer.
• Take good care of all tools and equipment and keep the work area clear and organized, putting away tools and products at the end of the shift.   
• Accurately place special orders for customers.
• When presented with a challenging situation, take the initiative to solve the customer issue and make recommendations for a solution.
• Attend offsite outreach or Pedal events.
• Clean and spit shine (maintain) all areas of the store.
• Other duties may be assigned to serve our customer’s needs.

Requirements

Requirements include but are not limited to:

• Previous bike assembly experience or equivalent preferred
• Computer proficiency -- email, POS system, google suite.
• Interest in working in a team environment committed to providing excellent sales and service experience while increasing sales through service
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain open and positive relations with employees and customers
• Interest in developing own skills and knowledge
• Ability to periodically lift 50 pounds
