Summary
Step In. Make a Difference. Work on Your Schedule.
Palmetto Shared Services Alliance (PSSA) is launching the Pilot of Palmetto Childcare Connect (PCC), an innovative substitute workforce program designed to support licensed childcare centers in Anderson and Marlboro Counties, in South Carolina.
As a Childcare Substitute Professional, you will serve as a trusted “Palmetto Pop-In,” stepping into classrooms when programs need support most. Whether covering a planned absence or responding to a last-minute staffing gap, your presence ensures that classrooms remain safe, supported, and fully operational for the children and families who depend on them.
This role offers the flexibility to choose when and where you work, while making a meaningful impact in early childhood education. Substitutes will work with a variety of programs, age groups, and classroom environments, gaining valuable experience while supporting the stability of the childcare workforce across their community.
Through PCC, you are not just filling a position, you are helping centers stay open, supporting working families, and contributing to a stronger early childhood system in South Carolina. You must be based near/in, or willing to travel to Anderson County.
