Classroom Floater in North Charleston, SC

Summary

A classroom floater position involves providing support in various classrooms within a school or childcare center, typically filling in for absent teachers, assisting with daily routines, and ensuring children's safe and engaging environment. This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to work with different age groups and in diverse learning environments. 

Duties

 In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old.. You will be responsible for their care, development, and well-being while fostering a positive and engaging learning experience. 

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Covering Staff Absences
• Assisting with Daily Activities
• Supporting Child Development
• Maintaining a Safe Environment
• Communicating with Staff and Families
• Adapting to Different Classrooms

Requirements

• Experience or willingness to learn how to work with children ages 6 weeks through 5 years.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving.
• Patience, nurturing personality, and ability to create a positive environment.
• CPR and first aid certification within the first 30 days of employment
• Ability to work well with a team. 
• Experience working with children in a childcare setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; CDA or related degree preferred. 

Nice To Haves

• AA or certificate in Early childhood Education
• Current CDA
