Summary

We are seeking a motivated professional that is passionate about early education to join our school as an Assistant Teacher

Duties

• The teacher should have experience working with all ages.
• The teacher will be responsible for the curriculum for the infant classroom as well as maintaining a good work environment.
• The teacher is responsible for the instruction and supervision of the children in social and developmental activities.
• The teacher will keep the classroom always organized and clean.
• The teacher must possess good communication skills.
• The teacher should be patient.
• The teacher we are looking for should be committed and punctual.
• The teacher should always be well-disciplined but very loving and patient with the children.

Requirements

• CDA or 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education (preferred, but not mandatory).

Minimum of 1-2 years teaching experience. Experience with at-risk children is preferred.

• Must demonstrate experience and interest in working with young children, parents, and volunteers.
• Must demonstrate a strong knowledge of appropriate practices in early childhood development including working with parents.
• Must demonstrate success in working as a member of a team.
• Must have effective and strong communication skills (orally and written).
• Must demonstrate the ability to work well with young children.
• Must be able to supply a yearly certificate of good health.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program.
