Substitute Teacher in Columbus, OH

Summary

A substitute teacher will take the place of an ill teacher or a teacher on vacation. It is not a full time position and hours are between 7:30am and 6:00pm. The hours worked on any given day are preset shifts.

Duties

• Assist Teachers in implementing curriculum and daily duties
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are followed
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment including maintaining appropriate hygiene and cleanliness standards
• Ensure the safety and security of children

Requirements

• High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children and parents) and to foster a team environment
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening
• Ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, talk to and hear voices at many levels. Able to get down and back up from the floor easily
• A specific vision ability will be required to see up close and up to a certain distance, have peripheral vision and depth perception
