Duties

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will provide support and assistance across various classrooms during the afternoon hours. Part-time academic year position.

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with classroom team to ensure that teamwork and communication is maintained. Support nurturing care and support as needed.
• Supervise and engage with children during indoor and outdoor playtime and regularly throughout the day.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and organized environment.
• Assist with meal and snack times, including preparation and clean-up.
• Support children with their individual nap routines.
• Participate in professional growth and training opportunities.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, early childhood education coursework preferred
• Previous experience working with children in a childcare setting is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be reliable, punctual and able to adapt to changing needs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to abide by all of the Center’s policies including NAEYC’s ‘Code of Ethical Conduct'.
• Flexibility to work with staff and all groups of children equally well.

Requirements

Physical Requirements:

The physical demands listed below are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

• Requires substantial movement
• Visual acuity within normal
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without

Additional Requirements:

• Hours are approx. 1: 30 pm to 5:30 pm.
• Successful completion of post-offer, pre-employment criminal background checks and drug
• Work is performed on a smoke free campus
