The Lead Counselor supports the Program Director in providing a safe, engaging, and well-supervised summer camp experience for children. This role includes direct camp supervision, positive behavior management, staff support, and strict adherence to all Great Bay Kids' policies and New Hampshire Childcare licensing requirements. Lead Counselors are expected to model professionalism, sound judgement, and strong leadership at all times.

*Must meet New Hampshire Childcare Licensing requirements for group leader.
*Previous experience working with children in a camp, childcare, or school-age setting.
*Demonstrated leadership and behavior management skills.
*Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
*CPR/First Aid/Water Safety certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
*Completes assigned ProSolutions within 30 days of hire.
*Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors.
*Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and participate in physical activities throughout the camp day.
*Experience working with children
*First Aid and CPR
*Knowledge of Procare
This is a seasonal position:

Participation in Program Development Days if working at the time.

Great Bay Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality early childhood education and school age enrichment programs for children. Our early education facilities are located in Exeter and Portsmouth, NH with school age programs offered in Exeter and Portsmouth (Summer only).
