The Assistant Camp Counselor supports the Lead Counselor and Program Director in providing a safe, fun, and engaging summer camp experience for children. This role focuses on building positive relationships with campers, participating in daily activities, and helping maintain a safe and well-supervised environment in accordance with Great Bay Kids' policies and New Hampshire Childcare Licensing requirements.

*Must meet New Hampshire child care licensing requirements for assistant group leader.
*Interest or experience working with children in a camp, childcare, or school-age setting.
*Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
*Ability to take direction and work as part of a team.
*CPR/First Aid/Water Safety certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start).
*Completes assigned ProSolutions within 30 days of hire.
*Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors.
*Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and participate in physical activities throughout the camp day.
*Experience working with children
*First Aid and CPR
*Knowledge of Procare
This is a seasonal position:
Staff Appreciation Week - fun filled week of celebrating our staff
Participation in Program Development Days if working at the time.
Fun and Family like atmosphere
Half hour paid lunch (if working over 5 hours)
Great Bay Kids is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality early childhood education and school age enrichment programs for children. Our early education facilities are located in Exeter and Portsmouth, NH with school age programs offered in Exeter and Portsmouth (Summer only).
