Summary
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Teacher’s Assistant to join our childcare program serving children ages six weeks to 11 years. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment that promotes children’s social, emotional, and educational development.
Responsibilities include assisting with daily classroom activities, supervising children during play and learning times, helping with meals and cleanup, and maintaining a clean and organized classroom. You will also help implement age-appropriate lesson plans, encourage positive behavior, and communicate effectively with staff and families.
The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and passionate about working with children of various age groups. Prior childcare experience is preferred but not required.

Duties
- Assist lead teachers with planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for children ages 6 weeks to 11 years
- Supervise children to ensure safety at all times, including during play, meals, and rest periods
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth through positive interactions
- Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and general care routines as needed
- Communicate effectively with lead teachers and staff regarding children’s needs and progress
- Help manage classroom behavior using positive guidance techniques
- Prepare materials and assist with daily lesson plans and activities
- Ensure compliance with all childcare licensing and safety regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Previous childcare experience preferred
- Ability to work with children of varying ages and developmental stages
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow directions and take initiative when needed
- Must pass background check and any required state clearances
- Basic understanding of child development (or willingness to learn)
