Summary

Teacher will be responsible for implementing developmentally appropriate activities for children between the ages of 18 months and 12 years in a childcare center. The candidate must have experience working with children and the ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them to learn and grow.

Duties

• implement daily lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate
• Provide a safe and secure environment for children by supervising and monitoring all activities
• Encourage and facilitate social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Conduct regular assessments to track the children progress and development
• Communicate with parents and guardians about their child’s progress and needs
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
• Attend staff meetings, professional development trainings, and other events as required
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an early childhood education or related program is preferred
• At least 1 year of experience working in a childcare setting
• Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate practices
• Ability to create and implement developmentally appropriate activities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and be flexible with hours
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Must be able to sit on the floor, stand for extended periods of time, and kneel or crouch at toddler’s level

Benefits

This is a full-time or part time position, and Teachers will work Monday through Friday during the hours of the childcare center’s operation.
