Description

Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten, fostering a love of learning, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.

Duties

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets educational standards and fosters child development.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Plan and execute daily lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
  • Assess the developmental needs of each child and tailor activities to meet those needs.
  • Monitor and document student progress, communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive teaching environment.
  • Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom, adhering to all health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Associated or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a Pre-K or early childhood setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Experience with diverse learning needs and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Additional certifications or training in early childhood education or child development.
  • Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools.
