We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the daily operations of our Montessori preschool. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for early childhood education, and extensive knowledge of child development. This role involves managing staff, ensuring compliance with safety standards, creating a nurturing environment, and act as a liaison between parents and teachers. The Child Care Director will play a vital role in fostering a positive atmosphere where children feel safe, supported, and engaged.
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards.
Supervise and support teaching staff, including classroom management and professional development.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by adhering to health and safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
Manage daily operations, including marketing, enrollment, and parent communication.
Maintain compliance with licensing requirements and state regulations related to childcare services.
Foster positive relationships with parents through regular communication and updates on children's progress.
Oversee classroom environments to be compliant with Texas Rising Star (TRS) metrics.
Lead efforts in behavior management strategies to support social-emotional development among children.
Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
Experience working with children across various age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary age students
Strong classroom management skills with the ability to create structured yet nurturing environments.
Certification in first aid and CPR is required; Texas Director’s certificate is required; Montessori certification a plus.
Proven leadership abilities with experience supervising childcare staff or teachers.
Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with parents, staff, and community partners.
Ability to handle behavior management challenges compassionately and effectively.
Familiarity with daycare licensing regulations and compliance procedures.
