Building Cleaning Child Care Center - Evenings in Vestal, NY

Summary

As a member of the facility maintenance staff, you will be expected to assist the Site Director, Curriculum Coordinator, and Teaching Teams in maintaining a high-quality program in compliance with OCFS regulations regarding safety, facility cleanliness, and a well-maintained environment.  

Flexible Hours beginning as early as 4:30 pm, 2.5 hours per day, a morning shift could also be considered 5:30 am to 8:00 am could be considered.

The position is 12.5 to 15 hours per week and can be combined with other Center positions if qualified. Inquire with the application.

This is a 10 Month Position Starting Late August 2026-Late June 2027.

Duties

• General daily cleaning & sanitizing restock, and maintenance of Hallways, Kitchen, Restrooms, and classrooms on the 2^nd floor, according to the center schedule. 
• Preparation of cleaning solutions for classroom and kitchen daily use.
• Other Weekly or Monthly tasks as assigned by the Site Director.
• Stay current on all regulations as set forth by the state of New York with regard to the operation of a Child Care Center with regard to the facility safety, cleaning & maintenance and ensure compliance with those regulations in all areas of the program that you are directly responsible for.
• Attend training as required pertaining to the position or use of cleaning materials and/or equipment.
• Will be required to meet with the Site Director as needed to review work assignments or changes in procedures.
• Must exercise confidentiality with regard to information pertaining to the operations of the facility or any information regarding families, or staff members.
• Report any serious accidents or incidents or safety concerns regarding the facility, yourself, or staff member to the Site Director.

Requirements

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent, and 1-year prior facility maintenance/janitorial experience.
