Are you passionate about helping young children learn, explore, and grow? We’re looking for a Full-Time Preschool Teacher to join our amazing team at Crayon College!

Duties

Plan and implement fun, age-appropriate activities that promote growth and development (we use Creative Curriculum).


Create a warm, welcoming classroom where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn.


Support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through guided play and hands-on experiences.


Encourage self-help skills, cooperation, and independence as children prepare for the preschool stage.


Communicate regularly with families about daily routines, learning progress, and classroom highlights.


Collaborate with co-teachers and staff to create a consistent, nurturing environment.

Requirements

18 years of age or older


Passion for working with children and helping them reach developmental milestones


Dependable, positive, and team-oriented


Must meet all Washington State DCYF (Department of Children, Youth, and Families) requirements, including but not limited to:

  • Completion of a Portable Background Check through the DCYF MERIT system
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification and Bloodborne Pathogens training
  • Proof of negative TB test or screening
  • Up-to-date MMR immunization documentation or exemption
  • Completion of required training modules, including 30-hour stars
  • Food Handlers Card
