Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Lead Teachers or floaters. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with children through play, music, stories, art, and other creative activities. Our goal is to create a fun, nurturing environment where children can build skills, develop positive behaviors, and form strong relationships, and get them ready for Kindergarten.

Duties
- Provide care and supervision for a group of children in a classroom setting
- Work collaboratively with the supervisor and teachers to develop and implement an age-appropriate curriculum wrapped around the Creative Curriculum
- Communicate regularly and effectively with supervisor/staff and parents
- Be supportive and flexible with the needs of the center
Requirements
Additional requirements (must have or be willing to obtain):
- 30-hour STARS Child Care Basics Training
- Current certification in Basic First Aid and Infant/Child CPR
- MAT (Medication Administration Training)
- HIV/Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- Food Handler’s Permit
- TB test clearance
- Successful completion of a full background check.
Other skills:
- Ability to work effectively with families of diverse backgrounds, including single parents, grandparents as caregivers, co-parenting families, LGBTQ+ families, non-English speakers, teen parents, and families navigating sensitive circumstances.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Windows, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, Google Docs, Zoom, and other online platforms.
Nice To Haves
Preferred requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a child care teacher/caregiver OR
- AA/BA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field OR
- Working on the state-mandated requirements
