JOB ANNOUNCEMENT: Assistant to the Human Resources Director
JOB CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt, Part-time (up to 25 hours per week), 12 months
RATE OF PAY: Grade 4 Starting at $17.00 hr.
The Assistant to the Human Resources Director supports the Human Resources Director in conducting HR functions to ensure the efficient operation of the department. This role plays a key part in implementing HR policies, helping manage employee relations, participating with recruitment, maintaining employee files (physical and electronic), conducting background checks, participating in on-boarding/off-boarding, substance abuse testing, arranging for health appointments, and assisting in keeping updated on federal, state, and local labor laws.
PRIOR TO HIRE: Must submit to FBI check, Sex Offender check, Child Protective Services check, complete a Sworn Disclosure, and reference checks;
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must get TB screening or PPD, Physical, CPS, DMV, and must be proficient in English;
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift minimum number of 25 pounds. This position requires bending, lifting, walking, talking, seeing, sitting, speaking, and hearing;
ADDITIONAL CERTIFICATIONS: Must possess or secure First Aid/CPR Certification; Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation;
