Warehousing / Delivery / Inventory in Ft. Walton Beach, FL

Summary

Be a part of the Team with the fasting growing Flooring store in Ft. Walton Beach/Destin Florida with full time warehousing/delivery position available at Ft. Walton Beach location. Receive materials with I-pad, store, and stage materials for clients/installation pros for pick up. Help with keeping inventory of in stock flooring materials. Basic maintenance of equipment and building maintenance. Heavy lifting. Monday - Friday 7:30-4:00.

Duties

• Receive and count stock items using I-Pad
• Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in warehouse or stock rooms, wrap up pallets and put in staging area to be picked up.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Mark stock items using identification tags
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
• Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor.
• Dispose of damaged or defective items or return them to vendors.
• Drive Forklift trucks to pick up incoming stock or to deliver parts to designated locations.
• Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued.
• Sell materials and other items from stock in retail settings (if needed to help out sales floor).
• Issue or distribute materials, products, and supplies to customers based on information from pick tickets/delivery tickets.
• Advise all clients once all materials are staged and ready for pick up
• Work closely with Operations Manager to purchase new or additional stock.
• Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability.
• Prepare products and supplies assembling (staging) them as necessary.
• Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
