Summary

C.A.R.E. For Me Children's Learning Center has been serving children ages 6 weeks to 13 years old, and their families since 2004. Our family oriented environment and culture allows children to thrive in a safe, loving and secure environment. Candidates for hire must possess patience and an eagerness to help children reach their social, emotional, physical and cognitive milestones while understanding that each child is an individual.

Duties

• Daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children.
• Individuals will provide classroom leadership as they strive to manage a program that exceeds state standards and GNJK guidelines.
• Communicates appropriate information to parents; maintains developmental profiles for children.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs.
• Must be able to physically get down on the floor with toddlers and respond quickly.
• Create weekly lesson plans and assess children using the Creative Curriculum.
• Ensure a healthy classroom environment - including sanitizing toys, tables, chairs and maintaining appropriate cleanliness standards.
• Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement including 20 hours of professional development yearly.

Requirements

• Child Development Associates (CDA) or minimum of 2 years of professional childcare experience working specifically with toddlers in a licensed setting
• Professionalism and positive work history
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
• Ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
• Self-motivated
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs get down on the floor with infants and toddlers, and respond quickly
• Must be able to pass all criminal, child abuse, and drug screenings
• Must be able to work 7:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday
