Duties

As a teacher at C.A.R.E Academy you will be responsible for children's well being, development, routine care and education. You will have a responsibility to the children in which your teaching and their parents. To communicate with parents about their child's development and care via verbal and electronic methods. You will have a duty to continue your education in Early Childhood and commit to completing annual DSS training hours. Lastly, you will have a responsibility to keep your classroom clean, sanitized and organized. All other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements

To succeed in this position you will need:

• High school diploma or Associates Degree
• At least six months experience working in DSS Licensed or Registered childcare facility
• CPR/first aid certificate or be able to obtain this
• ECD 101 or be able to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
• A positive, friendly attitude towards parents, children and co-workers
• High-level verbal and written communication skills
• Initiative and capacity to work with minimal supervision
• Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards
• Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized
• Coursework in early childhood education or child development is a plus
• At least three references
• The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience
• Be organized and have the ability to plan lessons that are educational, hands on and interesting
• Provide a learning environment that is safe, comfortable and healthy, in order to enhance children's growth and development
• You may be asked to work more or fewer hours than originally scheduled

Must be able to work the hours of 8:30- 5:00 pm

Must be able to complete ECD 101 if not already taken
