The person selected for this position must be professionally prepared as a teacher of young children, especially in the field of Early Childhood. This person must be a sensitive and mature individual who is able to relate both children and adults. This person must have the personality and ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity.
· Planing, supervising and implementing the program for the class in accordance with the age and abilities of the children and the policies of the Blue Giraffe.
· Being responsible for the ordered arrangement, appearance, decor, cleanliness and learning environment of the classroom.
· Supervising the assistant(s) assigned to your room.
· Attending faculty meetings and in-service programs.
· Providing a safe and healthy environment for the children in your care.
· Helping with special programs and/or open house and remaining flexible in order to respond to other duties for the good of the center.
· Maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the center.
CDA - Completed or in Progress; or
Associates Degree in Education or Related Field; or
Bachelor's Degree in Education or Related Field
CPR and First AID Certified
