Summary

Now Hiring: Experienced Infant Classroom Teacher

We are currently seeking an experienced and nurturing teacher to join our Infant Classroom team.

Position Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a licensed early childhood facility
• Must possess a valid Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to employment
• Must be dependable, professional, and passionate about working with children 6 weeks to 12 months of age

Work Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

The Preschool Classroom Teacher will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Set up and maintain classroom materials, supplies, and equipment
• Provide for the daily basic needs of children 3 years to 5 years of age
• Support the development of age-appropriate life skills
• Establish and maintain classroom rules and policies that promote positive behavior
• Read to students and engage them in language-rich activities
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities
• Monitor each child’s behavior, social development, health, and overall well-being
• Communicate and discuss student progress with parents or guardians
• Provide daily updates to families through the ProCare: Childcare App Family Engagement App
• Follow all Arizona Department of Health Services Child Care Licensing rules and regulations
• Follow all Quality First standards, guidelines, and requirements

Duties

• Set up classroom materials or equipment.
• Provide for basic needs of children.
• Teach life skills.
• Establish rules or policies governing student behavior.
• Read to students.
• Plan educational activities.
• Monitor student behavior, social development, and health.
• Discuss student progress with parents or guardians.
• Maintain student records.
• Update parents using ProCare Family Engagement App.
• Must maintain a professional manner and attitude.
• Must dress professionally.
• Must maintain a professional classroom setting for students and families.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least 6 months classroom experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Food Handlers Card.
• First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain before starting.
• Negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• Desire to teach in a Christian environment.
• Knowledge of Quality First and Licensing regulations.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Must be flexible with hours.
