Lead Infant Teacher Closer - Avondale, AZ

Summary

We are looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced teacher to join our Infant Classroom Team!

The Infant Classroom Teacher will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Set up and maintain classroom materials, supplies, and equipment
• Provide for the daily basic needs of infants 6 weeks to 12 months of age
• Support the development of age-appropriate life skills
• Establish and maintain classroom rules and policies that promote positive behavior
• Read to students and engage them in language-rich activities
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities
• Monitor each child’s behavior, social development, health, and overall well-being
• Communicate and discuss student progress with parents or guardians
• Provide daily updates to families through the Procare: Childcare App Family Engagement App
• Follow all Arizona Department of Health Services Child Care Licensing rules and regulations
• Follow all Quality First standards, guidelines, and requirements

Position Details

Hours: Monday–Friday

Time: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

(Based on experience and education)

Duties

• Set up classroom materials or equipment.
• Provide for basic needs of children 6 weeks to 12 months of age.
• Teach life skills.
• Establish rules or policies governing student behavior.
• Read to students.
• Plan educational activities.
• Monitor student behavior, social development, and health.
• Discuss student progress with parents or guardians.
• Maintain student records.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must have at least 1 year classroom experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Fingerprint Clearance Card
• First Aid and CPR Certificate or willingness to obtain
• Negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
• Desire to teach in a Christian environment
