Early Childhood Teacher's Assistant

Summary

Mālamalama Waldorf School is looking for an Early Childhood Assistant to provide support for the Lead Teacher and loving care to children ages 3-6 during the regular school day program for the 26/27 school year.

Duties

Duties include:

• Supporting the lead teacher in creating a warm, nurturing, and rhythmical classroom environment
• Assisting with daily routines such as snack preparation, cleanup, transitions, and outdoor play
• Modeling respectful and calm behavior to support healthy social development
• Observing and supporting children as needed during activities and free play
• Helping maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom and outdoor environment
• Participating in circle time, storytelling, and artistic activities as directed by the lead teacher
• Communicating collaboratively with the lead teacher and school staff
• Attending staff meetings and participating in school festivals and events as needed

Requirements

Must hold a current Teacher Assistant certificate registered with the DHS Registry or be in the process of getting it.
