The Rutland County Parent Child Center (RCPCC) is seeking educators to join us for our new program opening at the Pittsford Village Farm in Pittsford, Vermont. Our antipating opening will be this summer of 2026.

RCPCC uses a 2-Gen approach, working with both families and children simultaneously to identify needs and align programming to deliver services for long-term impacts.
Our new location will serve children from 6 weeks through 5 years of age. Multiple positions available.
Early Educators work directly with young children, ages birth through age 5. Lead Teachers plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum to meet objectives through hands-on, play-based activities. Assistants and floats support the Lead, while all adhere best practices and childcare regulations. Classroom environments are created to engage children using various philosophies ranging from Montessori to Reggio Emelia.
General responsibilities include:
Assisting in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
Maintain frequent communications with families.
Help ensure smooth, daily transitions
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications: Qualifications depend on the position sought.
Assistants & Floats: Must have at least a year of experience in a center-based setting AND completion of Fundamentals, OR a 3-credit college course with a focus on human growth and development OR completion of a high school program focusing on human services.
Leads: Must have completed at least 21 credits in the area of Early Education, AND have at least a year of experience in a center-based program. Lead salaries start at $20/hr.

*Preference will be given to those residing in the town of Pittsford.
*An opening date has not yet been established as the Farm is undergoing a complete renovation. The anticipated completion of the project is June/July. RCPCC hopes to be up and running by the end of August. These details are subject to change.
*Some positions may be immediately available, in which case a sooner start date would be possible. Our current location is located in Brandon, VT.
*Interviews will begin being scheduled for May 2026. Interviews will be held at our Brandon location.
