Eligibility Specialist - Child Care Assistance

Summary

CCCC is currently recruiting talented and motivated individuals to join our team as Eligibility Specialists. As an Eligibility Specialist, you will provide technical assistance to applicants enrolled in childcare assistance programs (CCAP), review eligibility in accordance with NJ DFD regulations, and ensure that all CCAP agreements are for eligible providers and periods.

Duties

Job Duties

• Maintain records and files proving eligibility for childcare assistance payment for applicants.
• Review Applications and other documents submitted by applicants and verify information for compliance with NJ DFD Instructions as outlined in policy.
• Process requests for Change in Providers
• Process requests for initial and annual Child Abuse Record Investigations and Home Inspections
• Educate parent of other childcare options (RFCC, child care centers, etc.)
• Maintain spreadsheets of applicants whose periods of subsidy are ending each month or whose agreements can be extended if proof of license extension is received.

Requirements

• BA preferred but not required
• Detail oriented
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good at calculating numbers
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Outlook, SharePoint
• Must know how to scan.
