We’re looking for a passionate and nurturing Assistant Teacher to join our team at The Wright Daycare! In this role, you’ll assist in the classroom, fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Duties
- Assist with creating a caring and safe environment for the children
- Assist in the implementation of curricula activities and encourage participation by children.
- Actively engage in activities; manage cleanliness, order, and availability of classroom materials.
- Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
- Encourage self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling.
- Help ensure smooth, daily transition from home to child care center.
- Follow all center policies and state regulations.
- Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- No experience required, just a warm, nurturing personality
- Must have at least a high school diploma, a high school equivalency credential recognized by the State Board of Education, Certificate of Completion, or a South Carolina High School Employability Credential
- Must clear full background check.
- Must pass health screening.
- Within thirty days of being employed, a caregiver must complete fifteen hours of health and safety service provider training.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification will be provided.
