The Teacher is responsible for implementing the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children's cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, and resolve parental concerns.
Prepare & teach age-appropriate weekly lesson plans.
Create a positive atmosphere for the children to learn and play.
Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions and daily reports.
Follow all center policies and state regulations.
Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Instruct the young child in bible stories and bible songs.
Must have 1 year teaching experience in a licensed child care center.
Desire to work 40-hour work week.
An understanding of child development.
High energy.
Ability to work well with others.
Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
High School Diploma or GED.
Knowledge of DSS/DHEC guidelines.
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
College credit in early childhood education or related field of study. CDA or 6 hours of ECE credit preferred.
