Creative Kids Adventures is an afterschool program serving 3 elementary schools in the Hartford school district. We provide after school care for children in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Our mission is to create a warm, welcoming and a positive environment for children after school and during no school days. We have a strong belief in children exploring the natural environment outside their school as well as leading various games and activities based on the interests of the children enrolled. Opportunity for hours during the summer supporting our 10 week summer camp program.

Duties
Participate in planning and providing fun and engaging activities that meet the needs and interests of the children enrolled in the program. Provide lots of time outside exploring and engaging in the environment surrounding the school location. Serve snacks. Actively engage in activities and play with the children as appropriate. Support children in working through any challenges or problems that may arise in a positive and supportive manner. Communicate with families and other teachers and staff as necessary. Perform cleaning tasks as required to keep the environment clean and sanitary.
Requirements
Be at least 16 years of age. Be able to meet the needs of licensing requirements including finger printing. Have a fun, flexible personality and be able to relate with school age children. Have reliable transportation. Participate in at least 8 hours of professional development trainings annually. Fulfill the requirements for the position held within 1 year and complete CPR/First Aid within the first 3 months.
Nice To Haves
Prior experience working with children would be helpful but not necessary. For higher level positions, college credits in education or related field will be required.
