Child Care Center Cook - Yanceyville, NC

Summary

A Step Forward Early Learning Academy is seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks. This role is essential to our daily operations, ensuring our students receive high-quality nutrition in a safe, compliant environment. This individual will work part-time, Monday through Friday, beginning at 6:30am. 

Duties

• Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks according to a set menu and schedule.
• Maintain a high standard of kitchen sanitation and food safety.
• Manage food inventory and kitchen supplies with a focus on efficiency.
• Adhere to all state licensing and health department food preparation regulations.
• Meticulously manage food allergy and dietary restriction requirements for students.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
• Experience in a childcare setting or institutional food service preferred.
• A warm, professional communication style and a "team-first" attitude.
