Summary
Unlike a fixed classroom role, as our Floater Teacher, you bring energy and support wherever it is needed most, ensuring that our high standards of care and education remain seamless throughout the day. You are the key to maintaining a balanced, stress-free environment, providing essential relief to lead teachers and specialized attention to our students during critical transitions and creative play.
Duties
- Dynamic Support: Rotate through various classrooms to assist Lead Teachers with project-based activities and classroom management.
- Ratio Guardian: Ensure the academy remains in constant compliance with SC DSS Licensing Regulations by providing necessary coverage during teacher breaks and planning periods.
- Operational Excellence: Assist with classroom transitions, meal times, and sanitization routines to maintain a high-quality environment that parents trust.
- Inclusive Engagement: Build a sense of belonging for every child by providing extra hands-on guidance during storytelling, outdoor movement, and creative discovery.
- Safety First: Maintain the highest standards of health and safety, vigilantly supervising students across different age groups and environments.
Schedule & Availability
- Weekday Coverage: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 12:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with opportunity to extend hours based on company needs)
- Availability: Full-time or Part-time options available; requires the ability to move between classrooms as assigned.
Requirements
- Skill Set: Basic knowledge of child development principles and a talent for following instructions with a proactive, growth mindset.
- Educational Background: Currently hold a High School Diploma or GED; enrollment in an Associate’s degree program in Early Childhood Education is a plus.
- Experience: Foundational knowledge of early childhood settings; ability to adapt quickly to different classroom routines and learning styles.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse staff members and interact warmly with parents.
- Heart & Soul: High energy, extreme flexibility, and a genuine passion for supporting both teachers and children.
- Essentials: First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) and the ability to pass all required background clearances.
