Summary
This role is where foundational care meets the spark of early discovery. As an Infant Room Teacher, you are a vital part of the support system for infants aged 8 weeks to 18 months. You will work alongside our Lead Teachers to ensure our smallest students have a safe, stimulating sanctuary to grow, explore, and thrive from the very first hello of the morning.
Duties
- Collaborative Care: Provide attentive and loving care, ensuring every infant's physical and emotional needs are met.
- Curriculum Catalyst: Implement hands-on, sensory-based activities that promote motor skills, language acquisition, and social interaction.
- Sanctuary Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized "home-away-from-home" that adheres to the highest health and safety standards.
- Growth Support: Organize and maintain educational materials and equipment specifically designed for infant development.
- Connection & Communication: Engage positively with parents and guardians, providing heart-centered updates on their child’s milestones and daily progress.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in professional development and team meetings to enhance your skills in early childhood excellence.
Requirements
- Professional Competencies: Proactive self-starter who demonstrates a continuous growth mindset and a commitment to process improvement.
- Educational Background: Currently hold an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Team Spirit: A collaborative mindset and the ability to follow guidance while bringing your own passion to the classroom.
- Heart & Soul: Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth of our infants.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to engage in the standing, bending, and lifting required to keep our infants safe and engaged.
- Essentials: First Aid/CPR certification and the ability to pass all required background clearances.
Schedule:
- Shift: Consistent coverage for our 1st shift (between 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM).
- Availability: Full-time or Part-time options available; may include occasional academy events outside of regular hours.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with infants in a childcare setting is preferred. Foundational knowledge of Montessori or STEAM educational frameworks, with a proven ability to adapt and excel in specialized learning environments is strongly preferred.
