Summary

We are seeking a nurturing, energetic, and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to lead a classroom of 3-year-old children. The ideal candidate is passionate about early learning, understands child development, and creates a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically.

Duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that support early childhood development
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
  • Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
  • Encourage creativity, curiosity, and independence through play-based learning
  • Maintain daily communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and needs
  • Observe and assess children’s development and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization
  • Collaborate with staff and participate in team meetings and professional development

Requirements

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, CDA, or Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with preschool-aged children (especially 3-year-olds)
  • Knowledge of child development and early learning standards
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with young children 

Nice To Haves

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Experience working specifically with 3-year-old children in a preschool or childcare setting
  • Familiarity with curriculum models such as Creative Curriculum, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities
  • Experience with classroom technology or child assessment tools
  • Knowledge of licensing regulations and classroom compliance standards
  • Prior experience communicating with families from diverse backgrounds
  • Training in social-emotional learning or behavior management strategies (e.g., Conscious Discipline, PBIS)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • CDA (Child Development Associate) credential
