Summary
Christ Church School is now hiring teachers for the 2026-2027 school year! Teachers are responsible for promoting a loving, nurturing, inclusive Christian community through daily interactions with staff and families while teaching lessons that meet the children's academic, emotional, social, and spiritual needs. Christ Church School serves over 200 children ages six weeks through Kindergarten from August through May.
Duties
- Develop and implement developmentally appropriate lessons in daily classes
- Create a comfortable and secure environment by setting clear limits, establishing routines and structure
- Assist in meeting the age appropriate needs of the children in the classroom (feeding, diapering, toileting, etc)
- Model and encourage positive social skills
- Participate in staff training and complete state required professional development
- Maintain professional conduct, appearance, and attitude
Requirements
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience in early childhood or a related setting
- Other relevant experience
Physical Requirements
- Ability to navigate stairs
- must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
