Pre-Kindergarten Classroom Teacher

Summary

Duties

• Help the Lead Teacher Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and self-expression.
• Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to create an inclusive environment for all children, including those with special needs or disabilities.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, challenges, and achievements.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
• Experience working with children in early childhood settings or similar environments (daycare, toddler care).
• Knowledge of childhood development milestones and effective teaching strategies.
• Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering positive relationships with students.
• First aid certification is preferred but we will provide training if necessary. ; experience in caregiving or special education is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Experience in behavior management techniques to support children's emotional needs.
