Generations Montessori School of Charlottesville is entering our 10th year of serving families in the community, and we are excited to expand our team! We are seeking a warm, dependable Lead Toddler Guide with a passion for working with young children. The ideal candidate is nurturing, reliable, and enjoys a calm, supportive environment for toddlers to grow and thrive.
- Experience working with young children (required)
- Montessori training or experience (preferred, but not required, will train the right person)
- Strong communication skills
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset

Duties
Set up classroom and change units throughout the year
Ensuring the physical and emotional well being of the children
Promote a positive team environment by leading with integrity, offering constructive feedback, and guiding colleagues to meet shared educational goals
Supervise and ensure the safety and well begin of the children at all times
Complete at least 16 hours of professional development each year
Be familiar with the regulations set out the the Virginia Department of Social Services
Exhibit a genuine, nurturing, and caring attitude to all students
Requirements
Must be able to pass a background check
A passionate educator with experience working with preschool children
Someone who values a calm, respectful, and nurturing environment for our young learners
