Generations Montessori School of Charlottesville is looking for a warm and dependable Assistant Guide to join our Infant Program in Fall 2025. What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with infants is preferred
- We’re willing to train the right candidate who brings enthusiasm and a love for working with young children
- A collaborative spirit and desire to support a Montessori approach to infant care

Duties
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times
- Complete at least 16 hours of professional development each
year
- Be familiar with the regulations set out by the Virginia
Department of Social Services
- Exhibit a genuine, nurturing, caring attitude to all students
- Assist lead teacher in any way possible, including but not
limited to...
o Preparing and setting up activities, including snack
o Implementing portions of the daily program as directed by the
lead teacher
o Assisting in keeping the classroom, storage areas, playground
area, and bathrooms clean, neat, orderly, and sanitized.
o Assist with feedings, diaper changes, nap routines, etc.
Requirements
Must be able to pass a background check
