Assistant Preschool Teacher

Summary

The Gathering Place For Kids is seeking a vibrant assistant teacher for our 2-year old class.

Duties

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

• Assist the lead teacher in preparing weekly lesson plans
• Assist in providing activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem solving appropriate to the development levels of the children.
• Maintain a fun, safe and organized learning environment
• Support the social and emotional development of children
• Engage in active play with children. Interact with children in a way that conveys respect.
• Assist in the cleaning and sanitization of the child care rooms
• Work cooperatively and effectively as a team member by communicating and contributing information on a continuous basis
• Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible
• Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by the lead teacher and Director

Requirements

High School Graduate or GED

Reliable Transportation

Complete a background check

Must be at least 18 years of age
