Sign shop manager

Summary

The Sign Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our sign shop's daily operations, ensuring the efficient production of signage and graphics. Your role will be critical in maintaining our reputation for excellence in quality, timeliness, and customer satisfaction.

Duties

·        Coordinate and manage the production schedule to meet customer deadlines and ensure efficient utilization of equipment, materials, and labor resources.

·         

·        Oversee the production of various types of signs, including vinyl graphics, banners, channel letters, and more

·         

 

·        Implement and enforce quality control standards to maintain high-quality output and inspect finished products to ensure they meet design specifications and client expectations.

·         

·        Monitor and manage inventory levels for materials, inks, and supplies and reorder supplies as needed to avoid production delays.

·         

 

• Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and expectations and communicate with clients to provide updates on project progress and resolve any issues or concerns.

·        Handles Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed to maintain a safe working environment and conduct safety training for employees as needed.

·         

·        Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and repairs of production equipment to minimize downtime.

·         

·        Monitor production costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

Requirements

·        High school diploma or GED is required.

·        One to three years related sales or customer service experience required.

Nice To Haves

·        Proven experience in sign production or a related field, with at least [X] years in a managerial or supervisory role.

·        Strong knowledge of sign-making techniques, materials, and equipment.

·        Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

·        Proficiency in software programs related to sign design and production (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, sign-cutting software).

·        Strong problem-solving abilities.

·        Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·        Computer proficiency includes word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.
