WECA is hiring a full time Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of deliverables outlined in a three-year grant funded project. The purpose of the project is to advance through policy and state budget initiatives a system of affordable high quality early care and education for very young children which is culturally and linguistically responsive and meets the needs of income limited families. The project will also advance optimal child development and well-being for infants and toddlers in WI.
Activities assigned to this individual are identified as high priority and highly visible initiatives that involve multiple teams across the state of Wisconsin and multi-sector external partners, along with WECA teams. This position is responsible for the managing and overseeing of all project stages from initiation to closeout, delivering target outcomes within scope, schedule and budget constraints and helping ensure projects are successfully executed in line with WECA's mission, strategic priorities and resource commitments. Collaborate with WECA leadership to execute a grant implementation plan and oversee project deliverables. Serve as liaison between internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and create action plans for success. Manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks within time and resource constraints.
Bachelors Degree and two to four years relevant experience in nonprofit operations, project management, and public policy. Candidates must have experience working with city/state government. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
