Ascension Childcare, Inc is seeking an Executive Director to lead and compliment our experienced, diverse, and dedicated teaching team and staff. We are an established non-profit, NAEYC accredited, 5 STAR, Seed & Sew certified early education program in Shelburne, offering early care and education for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
We implement an emergent curriculum, where teachers use observation and assessment to offer a variety of child-led, play-based experiences for all children in our program. We value and integrate anti-bias education into our every day rhythms. We honor and celebrate each child, each family, and each staff member.

The Executive Director oversees all day to day operations, supervises all staff, and maintains all records. In collaboration with the Assistant Director, the E.D. oversees curriculum development, professional development for staff, and classroom environments. The safety and care of all individuals within the program are the E.D.’s top priority. The E.D. maintains positive relations with families, in maintaining a program that values all individuals. Clear, consistent communication is a must.
The Executive Director maintains and upholds local, state, and national partnerships. Some of these partnerships are tied to various funding streams, program improvements, or community connections.
In partnership with the Board of Directors, the Executive Director maintains and manages all financials, creates and maintains a strategic plan for growth and development, updates and implements program policies and procedures as needed.
