We are looking for a full-time Lead Preschool Teacher who would be working with 3-year-old and 4-year-old children.
Adheres to all state regulations, health codes and Redeemer Lutheran Church Training Guidelines.
Observes daily health checks.
Completes timely, neat, accurate documentation of student assessments
Works with families and other professionals in regards to individualized learning and development plans for each child
Completes accident and incident reports when necessary
Notifies administration when there is a head injury and follows the concussion protocol, including filling out necessary paperwork
Uses Brightwheel regularly throughout the day to:
-keep attendance
-notify parents of important classroom information
-share pictures and activities
- share information with parents in regards a child’s progress through the day
Maintains an open, friendly, and cooperative relationship with each child and family.
Maintains a safe, clean, care-giving environment, practices good personal hygiene and hand washing, and assures the well-being and safety of all of the children in that environment
Develops learning activities to meet the children’s needs
Follows the Streamin3 curriculum and incorporates the curriculum map while making lesson plans
Turns in lesson plans & calendar to curriculum coordinator on time.
-Shows a willingness to pursue any special needs a child may have, such as working with health clinics, behavior plans, child psychologists, speech therapists, etc.
-Keeps necessary records on student behaviors, performance, and concerns.
-Works with the curriculum coordinator to plan, implement, improve, and refine the CDC’s curriculum.
-Thoughtfully writes student evaluations twice a year.
Qualifications
The candidates must have a degree (preference will be given to those certified in Early Childhood Education). Candidates with a CDA and 3-8 years of previous preschool teaching experience will be considered too.
